Family festivals are designed for keeping the welfare humankind at heart - Children follow their parents' examples and learn to build the relationship at home. The ceremonies of birth, celebrating family events, spiritual experiences and passing on family blessings are festivities designed to keep the family together. Helping each other by following God, we're able to tap into the greatest resources for our spiritual and physical well-being.
The importance of honouring our own family is detrimental to our own PEACE- Our sin's consequences are passed to members family and parents immorality can destroy the family. Don't take its spiritual well-being for granted as we found David failed to punish his son's wrongdoing..... [2 Sam 13:21-24] A nation's strength and family's strength are inter-related ! How faithful parents can impact the world and families responsibility to care for their members are well documented by Saint Paul in his epistle - [1 Tim 5:3ff ] St. Paul's strong words for those who neglect their families, and especially for whoever does not provide for relatives, says that they has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
We can be a member of God's family and Jesus adopts us into his family -
May this Christmas be the time of 'Joy and Peace' and bring happiness in every family reunion during the season of good-will amongst us.
